Program-Ace developed a fully usable application for Windows PC, including modeling, UI, testing, and the development of all the features described in the specification. The application has been developed in C++ using Unreal Engine with a cross-platform portability.
The application allows several interactive view modes. Each of them of them has a navigation menu and an information window that overlays the picture on the top of the screen. Also, each mode is rotatable and has a zoom in/out feature.
- Full building 45˚ building view
This mode provides a general overview of the building with camera movement. - Floor section view
The mode provides a section view of the selected floor level. The user can see the interior, as well as all the infrastructure, including the pipeline, wireline, etc. - Semi-transparent view
It only highlights the selected infrastructure system or object category which gives a better understanding of various systems such as pipeline, wiring, or fire safety. - 3D tour view
First-person 3D camera view of the building that shows in detail all the interior and infrastructure, including power boxes and sockets, doors, windows, etc.
The app has such features as an ability to choose viewpoints and camera paths, measure distances, the time-of-day feature, a floor plan and compass navigation. The user has access to the information about an asset, object, or infrastructure system, including basic info, location, repair history, etc.
