Program-Ace built a standalone Meta Quest VR trainer that simulates a screwdriver realistically, modeling speed, torque, and material resistance, so workers practice correct tool handling through guided, hands-on steps without the safety risk of real tools.
The challenge
Training with real screwdrivers carries injury risk and limits how often people can practice. The trainer had to reproduce real tool behavior, speed, torque, and how a fastener bites into different materials, while staying usable for learners at very different skill levels.

How we built it
Built in Unity with custom physics and hand tracking, the trainer runs standalone on Meta Quest and models how a screwdriver behaves against different materials, so the resistance a learner feels in VR matches what the real tool would do, with no PC tether and no real-world hazard.
